The second part of our recent trip exploring the Lake Mead National Recreational Area, we stopped by Echo Bay. Since the lake water has been so historically low, the edge of the lake has drastically moved away from the Echo Bay Marina Resort. The resort closed down back in 2013 by the National Park Service when it went to bid but no other business was interested in operating it. It is now all boarded up, deserted, and slowly being eroded into the desert.
We walked all around what remains of the building. I took a ton of pictures since there is so much texture material there, I got some pretty interesting shots. I then made some super cool digital texture papers out of them for makers and designers to make some awesome stuff with.
This Desert Ruins Photo Texture Backgrounds Set that I made contains 20 different super close up high resolution detailed photos, made into 12” x 12” in a JPG format. These are large high resolution files that be used in countless ways.
Check them out in my Etsy Shop at ShawnnaDesigns.
